After the Monday signing of the marriage-equality bill into law by Governor Christine Gregoire, which Alexander was present for as a representative of one of the state’s largest gay populations, Mr. & Miss Gay Seattle have issued a call to action.
In their open letter to the community, the ‘Seattle’s’ touch base on the successful defeat of Initiative 13 in 1978 and ask for a now stronger community to band together in the hopes of approving Referendum 74 and rejecting Initiative 1192, but more than anything: to make people aware of what’s happening and ready to cast their vote!
